Patios, walkways and pads poured on a properly compacted base, sloped to drain and finished so they stay flat for years.

A patio or a walk has two jobs: stay flat and shed water. Both come down to the ground work. We dig to firm soil, lay and compact a gravel base, and set the forms with a slight fall away from the house, enough that rain runs off instead of sitting against your foundation or freezing into a sheet of ice by the back door.
Shape is up to you. An L around the corner of the house, a pad off the back steps for a grill, a path out to the shed, or a full patio for the table and chairs. Tell us how you use the yard and we will help lay it out so the walk goes where people actually walk, and the patio is big enough for the furniture with room to pull a chair back.
We finish walks and patios with a broom texture for grip, cut the control joints, let it cure properly, and seal the flatwork. If you want a pattern on it, that is our stamped concrete work, which has its own page. Small jobs are welcome here too. A short walk from the driveway to the door gets the same base and the same care as a big patio.
“We would recommend Circle M to anyone looking for an honest, competent, respectful company for a small concrete job.”
Measure the furniture you will put on it and add room to walk around it and pull chairs back. A table for four takes more space than most people guess. Send us the rough size you have in mind and we will talk it through.
All concrete can get hairline cracks over time. A compacted base, reinforcement and control joints keep cracks small and inside the joints, where you will hardly notice them.
Yes, as long as it slopes away from the house so water runs off. A patio that tips toward the foundation sends water at your basement wall every time it rains.
All concrete can develop hairline cracks over time, but a properly compacted base, steel reinforcement, and correctly placed control joints keep them to a minimum. We take the groundwork seriously so your concrete holds up for the long haul.
Yes. We coat the outside of the walls and lay drain tile around the footings before backfill, so water gets carried away instead of sitting against your basement.

Yes. Stamped concrete is on our card next to patios, sidewalks and driveways. Tell us where it is going and about how big, and we will talk through the pattern and what fits the space.
Yes. Cabin foundations and storage shed pads are regular jobs for us, along with garage and pole barn slabs. Send the size, like 12x16 or 24x30, and we will take a look.
Usually, if it ties into a public road. In Michigan the agency that owns the road issues the driveway permit: the county road commission for county roads, the city or village for its own streets, and MDOT for state highways. We will help you figure out which one is yours.
