We excavate and grade the area, compact the subbase, and install gravel bedding and rebar or wire mesh. Proper groundwork is what separates a slab that lasts 30 years from one that cracks in five.
Forms are set to exact grade and elevation. Concrete is poured, screeded, and floated by our crew, then finished to the texture the job calls for. This is where the craft shows.
Concrete is cured properly, flatwork gets sealed, and foundation walls get waterproofed before backfill. Walk-ready in 24 hours. Drive-ready in 7 days. We clean up the site and walk the finished job with you before we leave.

Most slabs, piers, and driveways are formed and poured in 1-3 days, depending on size and prep. Foundation walls run a little longer. Larger or more detailed jobs take a little longer. We'll walk you through the full timeline before we start.
You can typically walk on it after about 24 hours. For vehicles, we recommend waiting a full 7 days so the slab reaches enough strength to handle the weight without damage.
Yes. A single pier, a shed pad, or a short walkway gets the same care as a full foundation. Call or send the form and we'll take a look.
All concrete can develop hairline cracks over time, but a properly compacted base, steel reinforcement, and correctly placed control joints keep them to a minimum. We take the groundwork seriously so your concrete holds up for the long haul.
Yes. We coat the outside of the walls and lay drain tile around the footings before backfill, so water gets carried away instead of sitting against your basement.

Yes. Cabin foundations and storage shed pads are regular jobs for us, along with garage and pole barn slabs. Send the size, like 12x16 or 24x30, and we will take a look.
Usually, if it ties into a public road. In Michigan the agency that owns the road issues the driveway permit: the county road commission for county roads, the city or village for its own streets, and MDOT for state highways. We will help you figure out which one is yours.
